- liaising with printers on scheduling and logistics;
- managing the web shop and supporting D2C strategy alongside the sales and marketing manager, including social media, UK and international sales, subscriptions, website optimization, customer service and distribution;
- coordinating translation and other grant applications;
- drafting, reviewing, and managing author and translator contracts;
- overseeing and implementing the publicity budget with the publicity director;
- managing audiobook production and strategy, alongside the associate publisher;
- handling office management, including bills and supplies;
- assisting with day-to-day financial administration, including invoice payment and communication with the accountant;
- overseeing US distribution via Consortium, including stock management and promotional planning;
- working with the publisher, associate publisher and sales and marketing manager to increase print, ebook and audio sales across the list;
- working with the publisher, associate publisher and art director to strengthen Fitzcarraldo Editions’ brand and image;
- a secretarial role on the board of Fitzcarraldo Editions, including attending and minuting quarterly board meetings;
- assisting the publisher and associate publisher in providing leadership and management to the Fitzcarraldo Editions team, and working towards implementing better organisational structures, processes and systems.
This is a full-time role paying £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a three-month probationary period. The role requires a minimum of three days per week in the Peckham office, and occasional travel with authors and attendance at evening events. Benefits include:
- 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays), plus Christmas office closure;
- pension and cycle-to-work schemes;
- summer working hours;
